The Gut–Brain Axis is the two-way path between y The Gut–Brain Axis is the two-way path between your gut and your mind.
Here are the four main pathways of this axis:

1. Neuroanatomic Pathway
Your nerves (like the vagus nerve) act as instant messengers between gut and brain.

2. Immunological Pathway
Stress or imbalance in your mind can trigger inflammation in your body, and vice versa — gut inflammation can affect mood and energy.

3. Neuroendocrine Pathway
Your stress system (hormones like cortisol) links gut and brain. Chronic stress can upset digestion, while poor gut health can over-activate stress responses.

4. Neurotransmitters & Microbial Pathway
Your gut microbes produce “feel-good” chemicals (like serotonin and GABA) that directly influence mood, sleep, and focus.

🌿Why it matters:
Stress can upset your digestion.
A balanced gut can lift your mood.
Supporting this axis creates harmony for mind, body, and soul.

🧠 How you even experienced one 🤯you might as 🧠 How you even experienced one 🤯you might ask yourself what was this pain about? More research show that Inflammation is linked to Migraines.
Migraines are more than headaches — they bring throbbing pain, nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound that can last for hours. Some also experience fatigue, vomiting, mood changes before and after the pain attack.
What causes them?
Research suggests migraines may be linked to inflammation in the brain. The immune system can become overactive, releasing cytokines — the body’s inflammatory messengers.
These cytokines overstimulate neurons, causing blood vessels in the brain to enlarge and pain signals to fire off. In short: migraines may not just be about nerves, but about the body’s whole immune and inflammatory response.

🤯Common causes include:
	•	Hormonal shifts (especially in women)
	•	Emotional stress
	•	Caffeine intake
	•	Sensitivity to chemicals
	•	Overstimulated nervous system
	•	Poor sleep and restlessness

The sun fuels the energy within — your heart. Th The sun fuels the energy within — your heart. The heart is the center of the body, much like the sun is the center of our solar system. Just as the sun and nurtures all nature, your heart sustains you.

🫀Sunlight nourishes the heart by ensuring healthy levels of vitamin D — vital for the delivery of calcium and magnesium to the heart muscle. Calcium contracts, magnesium relaxes, and together they create the perfect beat of life. Even 30 minutes of sunshine a day can lower blood pressure and protect against cardiovascular disease. Modaration is key ⏳🌞 There are many benefits of the sunlight on hormones and neurotransmitters, we list the main four: 1. Serotonin rises → uplifting mood, clarity, and calmness.
2.Dopamine activates → boosting motivation, focus, and protecting eye health.
3. Melatonin is suppressed by day and released at night → aligning energy with restful sleep.
4. Cortisol is balanced → steady morning alertness. Cortisol is also responsible how we manage stress 🌞👁️Vitamin D connection, mainly absorbed through skin, vitamin D also plays a role in eye health. Adequate levels are linked to a lower risk of age-related eyesight decline and dry eye syndrome.

Your body is constantly utilising and releasing wa Your body is constantly utilising and releasing water through sweating, breathing, and urinating—so staying hydrated is key. Here’s when your body needs it most
1💧After waking up — activates the internal organs
A glass of water in the morning gently awakens your system, rehydrates after sleep, and sets the body in motion for the day ahead.
2💧After training — brings the heart rate back to normal
Water restores balance, replaces what you’ve lost through sweat, and helps your body return to a calm, steady rhythm.
3💧30 minutes before a meal — improves digestion
Drinking a little water before eating prepares your stomach, supports smoother digestion, and helps you enjoy your meal with ease.
4💧Before sleep — replenishes fluid loss
Small amount before bed gently restores what the body has used during the day and supports a restful night. It can be a glass of water or a cup of herbal tea. 5💧When you feel tired — refreshes the body
Often fatigue is just thirst. A glass of water clears the mind, renews energy, and uplifts the energy levels. #purewater#naturalwater#H2O#waterfall#lakedistrict#source#drinkwell#nutrition#functional#natural#heart#life#balance#therealwellbeing🌿

What is DHEA? (Dehydroepiandrosterone) dont try to What is DHEA? (Dehydroepiandrosterone) dont try to pronounce the full name 😉

A steroid hormone produced mainly by the adrenal glands, and also by the ovaries in women and testes in men.

The Role of DHEA in the Body:
	1.	Hormone Precursor: Converts into testosterone and estrogen, helping maintain hormonal balance.
	2.	Anti-Aging Effect: Often called the “youth hormone” due to its connection to energy, libido, and immune function.
	3.	Mood Regulation: Supports brain function, impacting mood, memory, and stress resilience.
	4.	Immune Support: Helps regulate the immune system, especially during chronic stress.
	5.	Metabolism and Muscle Health: Supports fat burning, muscle growth, and energy levels.
In a healthy state, your adrenal glands release cortisol and DHEA in a balanced rhythm. Cortisol helps your body respond to stress by raising blood sugar, reducing inflammation, and keeping you alert. Meanwhile, DHEA acts as a restorative hormone — supporting energy, immunity, mood, and the production of sex hormones like estrogen and testosterone. Together, they help the body adapt and recover from everyday stress.

But when stress becomes chronic or constant, this balance starts to shift. Your body prioritizes cortisol production to keep you functioning in “survival mode.” To do this, the adrenal glands begin redirecting resources away from DHEA — a phenomenon often called the “cortisol steal.” Over time, this leads to depleted DHEA levels, leaving the body without its vital rebuilding and recovery hormone. #hormonalbalance #hormoneDHEA #testosterone

While the words ALIGNMENT and AILMENT appear simil While the words ALIGNMENT and AILMENT appear similar, they represent contrasting states within the body. Alignment= internal balance. Ailment = disruption or imbalance in physiological function.

One of the most fundamental – yet often overlooked – aspects of internal alignment is the ACID & ALKALINE balance. This balance refers to the body’s ability to maintain a stable pH.

High levels of processed foods, stress, and environmental exposures, are known to contribute to an acid-forming internal environment. Over time, this may be associated with a range of symptoms and conditions, including: -Joint and muscle pain -Persistent fatigue -Skin and scalp concerns -Sleep disturbances -Changes in mood -Mineral depletion and signs of early ageing

⚖️When the internal environment becomes too acidic, the body initiates compensatory mechanisms to restore balance. This includes drawing alkalising minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium from various tissues – including hair, nails, and, over time, bones – in order to buffer the blood and maintain pH within its safe range.
Solution? 💦Optimal hydration, 🫁breath regulation, rest, and emotional wellbeing all influence this balance. 🥗Nutrient-dense, plant-based foods, along with practices that support the nervous system are fundamental in maintaining more alkaline state. #therealwellbeing🌿#breathwork #breathworkcoach #nutrition #naturopath #londonwellbeing
