Your body is constantly utilising and releasing wa Your body is constantly utilising and releasing water through sweating, breathing, and urinating—so staying hydrated is key. Here’s when your body needs it most
1💧After waking up — activates the internal organs
A glass of water in the morning gently awakens your system, rehydrates after sleep, and sets the body in motion for the day ahead.
2💧After training — brings the heart rate back to normal
Water restores balance, replaces what you’ve lost through sweat, and helps your body return to a calm, steady rhythm.
3💧30 minutes before a meal — improves digestion
Drinking a little water before eating prepares your stomach, supports smoother digestion, and helps you enjoy your meal with ease.
4💧Before sleep — replenishes fluid loss
Small amount before bed gently restores what the body has used during the day and supports a restful night. It can be a glass of water or a cup of herbal tea. 5💧When you feel tired — refreshes the body
Often fatigue is just thirst. A glass of water clears the mind, renews energy, and uplifts the energy levels. #purewater#naturalwater#H2O#waterfall#lakedistrict#source#drinkwell#nutrition#functional#natural#heart#life#balance#therealwellbeing🌿

What is DHEA? (Dehydroepiandrosterone) dont try to What is DHEA? (Dehydroepiandrosterone) dont try to pronounce the full name 😉

A steroid hormone produced mainly by the adrenal glands, and also by the ovaries in women and testes in men.

The Role of DHEA in the Body:
	1.	Hormone Precursor: Converts into testosterone and estrogen, helping maintain hormonal balance.
	2.	Anti-Aging Effect: Often called the “youth hormone” due to its connection to energy, libido, and immune function.
	3.	Mood Regulation: Supports brain function, impacting mood, memory, and stress resilience.
	4.	Immune Support: Helps regulate the immune system, especially during chronic stress.
	5.	Metabolism and Muscle Health: Supports fat burning, muscle growth, and energy levels.
In a healthy state, your adrenal glands release cortisol and DHEA in a balanced rhythm. Cortisol helps your body respond to stress by raising blood sugar, reducing inflammation, and keeping you alert. Meanwhile, DHEA acts as a restorative hormone — supporting energy, immunity, mood, and the production of sex hormones like estrogen and testosterone. Together, they help the body adapt and recover from everyday stress.

But when stress becomes chronic or constant, this balance starts to shift. Your body prioritizes cortisol production to keep you functioning in “survival mode.” To do this, the adrenal glands begin redirecting resources away from DHEA — a phenomenon often called the “cortisol steal.” Over time, this leads to depleted DHEA levels, leaving the body without its vital rebuilding and recovery hormone. #hormonalbalance #hormoneDHEA #testosterone

While the words ALIGNMENT and AILMENT appear simil While the words ALIGNMENT and AILMENT appear similar, they represent contrasting states within the body. Alignment= internal balance. Ailment = disruption or imbalance in physiological function.

One of the most fundamental – yet often overlooked – aspects of internal alignment is the ACID & ALKALINE balance. This balance refers to the body’s ability to maintain a stable pH.

High levels of processed foods, stress, and environmental exposures, are known to contribute to an acid-forming internal environment. Over time, this may be associated with a range of symptoms and conditions, including: -Joint and muscle pain -Persistent fatigue -Skin and scalp concerns -Sleep disturbances -Changes in mood -Mineral depletion and signs of early ageing

⚖️When the internal environment becomes too acidic, the body initiates compensatory mechanisms to restore balance. This includes drawing alkalising minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium from various tissues – including hair, nails, and, over time, bones – in order to buffer the blood and maintain pH within its safe range.
Solution? 💦Optimal hydration, 🫁breath regulation, rest, and emotional wellbeing all influence this balance. 🥗Nutrient-dense, plant-based foods, along with practices that support the nervous system are fundamental in maintaining more alkaline state. #therealwellbeing🌿#breathwork #breathworkcoach #nutrition #naturopath #londonwellbeing

The body is an ecosystem — every part relies on The body is an ecosystem — every part relies on the others to stay in balance. ♾️The digestive system is highly sensitive to the state of the nervous system.
1.The vagus nerve, as a primary pathway of the parasympathetic branch, regulates several key functions necessary for effective digestion:
2.Saliva and enzyme secretion begin the digestive process in the mouth, preparing the body to break down food before it reaches the stomach.
3.Gastric acid, bile and pancreatic enzyme production ensure proper breakdown and absorption of nutrients in the stomach and small intestine.
4.Peristalsis, the wave-like muscle movement that pushes food through the digestive tract, is controlled by vagal tone. 🧯Inflammation and gut-immune response are also mediated by the vagus nerve, helping to reduce intestinal inflammation and maintain gut lining integrity.
🧠The gut-brain connection, carried primarily through vagal fibres, influences emotional state, mood clarity and mental resilience. When stress dominates the system, digestive processes slow or become erratic.
Bloating, constipation, indigestion and #IBS are often signs of a nervous system is overwhelmed. Regulating this system through deep breathing, rest, mindful eating and mindfulness allows digestion to recover its natural pace. #ParasympatheticHealing #NervousSystemSupport #TheRealWellbeing #FunctionalNutrition #RestAndDigest #FightOrFlight #HormoneBalance #WomensHealthUK #GutAndHormones

In functional medicine, allergies are often consid In functional medicine, allergies are often considered a symptom of deeper imbalances—particularly involving detoxification, gut health, immune regulation, and stress response.🌿
Its a team work !
The Role of Each Organ in Managing Allergies
1. Liver: Blood Filtration & Breaking Down Histamine
 * The liver is crucial for detoxifying the blood and metabolising histamine, a chemical responsible for allergy symptoms.
 * In functional medicine, impaired liver detoxification pathways (such as methylation or sulphation) can hinder histamine breakdown, leading to heightened allergic responses.
2. Gut: Builds Immune Resilience
 * Roughly 70–80% of immune cells reside in the gut.
 * A healthy gut microbiome trains the immune system, helping it differentiate between harmful invaders and harmless substances like pollen.
 * Gut dysbiosis, intestinal permeability (leaky gut), or food sensitivities can exaggerate immune responses and contribute to systemic inflammation.
3. Kidneys: Remove Toxins
 * The kidneys filter the blood and help to excrete metabolic waste and excess inflammatory substances.
 * Although not directly involved in allergy reactions, compromised kidney detoxification may lead to a build-up of inflammatory compounds, potentially worsening allergic symptoms.
4. Spleen: Manages Immune Cells
 * The spleen is an essential immune organ, storing and releasing white blood cells (particularly lymphocytes) to combat pathogens.
 * In functional medicine, optimal spleen function is vital for maintaining immune balance and avoiding overactive responses that trigger allergies.
5. Adrenals: Regulate Inflammation
 * The adrenal glands produce cortisol, a hormone that plays a key role in reducing inflammation.
 * Chronic stress or adrenal fatigue can impair cortisol production, thereby reducing the body’s ability to manage allergic inflammation.
 * Supporting adrenal health through adequate rest, adaptogens (e.g. ashwagandha), and proper nutrition is essential for controlling allergy symptoms.
